Official Launch of DON BOSCO YOUTH EDUCATION FOR ALL (DBYEA) NGO in Rwanda

On May 6th, 2025, the DON BOSCO YOUTH EDUCATION FOR ALL (DBYEA) NGO was officially launched in Gasabo District, Rwanda. The organization, which is committed to promoting inclusive and equitable access to education for youth across the country, marked the occasion with a significant gesture of solidarity.

During the launch event, DBYEA extended support to vulnerable students from Muhazi TVET School, a vocational institution currently serving 260 learners across three key sections: Construction, Cooking, and Sewing. The support provided included essential food supplies such as cereals, oil, and salt, as well as hygienic buckets aimed at improving sanitary conditions.

In a move to address educational access challenges, the NGO also paid accommodation fees for 50 disadvantaged students who travel long distances daily to attend school. This support is part of DBYEA’s broader mission to eliminate barriers to education and empower Rwandan youth through practical skills and training.

Thanks to Salesians of Don Bosco in Africa of Great Lakes and their longstanding donors including Salesian Procure of Madrid, Torino and New Rochelle for their support which has allowed the launch event of DBYEA.

A similar event is planned to take place in Huye district in the coming week. Stay tuned!
