Don Bosco Youth Education for All (DBYEA) NGO has continued its commitment to supporting vulnerable young people through initiatives that promote education, well-being, and social inclusion across Rwanda.
As part of these efforts, on Thursday, 12 May 2026, a DBYEA delegation led by Mr. Emmanuel NZANANA visited students undertaking vocational training at Muhazi Don Bosco TVET School in Gikomero Sector, Gasabo District. During the visit, the organization delivered humanitarian support aimed at improving the students’ daily living conditions and strengthening their ability to continue their studies successfully.
The assistance package included hygiene kits, sports equipment, clothing, and food supplies. The support targeted young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who often face social and economic barriers that affect their education and personal development.
Speaking during the outreach activity, Mr. Emmanuel Nzanana explained that the initiative aligns with DBYEA’s mission of empowering vulnerable youth and promoting their dignity, confidence, and equal opportunities.
“We came to visit the youth studying vocational skills here at Muhazi Don Bosco TVET School in order to provide them with support that will help them in their daily lives. Our goal is to assist young people facing social and economic challenges so they can continue their studies and vocational training in good conditions,” he said.
He further emphasized that DBYEA remains committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
“We believe that when young people are supported with essential needs and encouragement, they gain confidence, remain motivated in school, and are better prepared to build a brighter future,” he added.
The students who benefited from the support expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the assistance will positively impact both their studies and well-being.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Anita MBABAZIZAYO thanked DBYEA for the support and highlighted the importance of student welfare in academic success.
“A student who has eaten well, maintains good hygiene, and has time to play has nothing that can prevent them from studying well,” she said.
The administration of Muhazi Don Bosco TVET School also welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude to DBYEA for standing alongside vulnerable learners.
Sr. Leocadie NYIRANZIZA, Head of the School, explained that many students enrolled at the institution come from low-income families and face daily challenges related to food and basic necessities.
“Many of the children we teach here are poor; some eat only once a day. This support will help us provide them with sufficient meals at school. Even if they do not eat enough at home, we are confident that at least here they will be able to eat and be satisfied,” she said.
According to DBYEA leadership, the outreach forms part of the organization’s broader national efforts to support vulnerable youth through education, health, social protection, sports, and empowerment programs.
Mr. Emmanuel Nzanana reiterated that DBYEA will continue collaborating with schools, communities, and partners to ensure that young people—especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds—have opportunities to succeed and contribute positively to society.
These initiatives reflect DBYEA’s long-term vision of empowering youth through education, vocational training, rights promotion, sports, culture, and sustainable development programs that foster equal opportunities and social inclusion.
